The Justice in Action Workgroup visibly and boldly advocates for people who are marginalized.

We believe faith calls us to speak up, show up, and stand alongside those facing injustice.

Our work is led by volunteers, and all are welcome to join.

What We Do

We advocate by:

  • Hosting Black Lives Matter Vigils
  • Holding an Equal Justice Vigil every 4th Saturday (Noon–1:00 p.m.)
  • Displaying banners along Fordham Boulevard
  • Publishing newspaper ads
  • Writing elected officials
  • Signing petitions
  • Participating in marches and demonstrations
  • Partnering with religious and community organizations
  • Sharing educational resources and advocacy opportunities
  • We encourage everyone to speak up when they see injustice.

We support and collaborate with:

  • NAACP Youth Council
  • E-3 S.T.E.M. Camp
  • Restorative Justice Leadership Training
  • HC Community Group
  • Humanitarian Crisis Community Group
